NBA Pick'Em Today (Friday, Jan. 30)
Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans: Zion Williamson over 21.5 points - Pick6, 1:30 PM CT
Williamson has reached the 21.5-point line in seven of his last 11 appearances, and he's coming off a 21-point effort in the 104-95 loss to the Thunder on Tuesday. Williamson should have a favorable matchup in this contest, and his blend of physicality and athleticism makes it increasingly hard to stop him when he's on his game. Considering that Williamson is averaging 21.0 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 62.1 percent from the floor in 14 starts in January, the on-court work is there to believe the former Duke standout can hit this line.
Boston Celtics vs. Sacramento Kings: Derrick White under 29.5 points + assists -- Underdog, 1 PM CT
White has been slumping of late and hasn't been able to land anywhere near this line in each of his last eight contests. He's coming off an 11-point effort in the loss to the Hawks, a game where he shot 5-for-13 from the floor and 1-for-5 from three-point range, but those subpar performances have been the norm for him lately. White hasn't reached the 20-point mark since a Jan. 10 loss to the Spurs, which also happened to be the last time he hit this line of at least 29.5 points + assists. Since then, he's averaging 11.8 points and 5.8 assists per game. With opposing teams putting more attention against him on the offensive end, it wouldn't be surprising if he's unable to hit his line once again.
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Denver Nuggets: Ivica Zubac over 23.5 points + rebounds + assists -- PrizePicks, 1 PM CT
Zubac's challenge Friday just got more complicated since Nikola Jokic (knee) is expected to be available for this matchup. Still, the line of 23.5 P+R+A looks attainable for Zubac, who's one of the most productive big men in the NBA. Even though Zubac has failed to hit this line in his last two outings, tallying 22 and 19 P+R+A against the Nets and Jazz, respectively, he's expected to have a busier day while dealing with Jokic and the Nuggets' frontcourt. Prior to this subpar two-game stretch, Zubac has recorded at least 24 P+R+A in four games in a row, and he's averaging 12.3 points, 10.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game since the beginning of January. The matchup against Denver is difficult, but if he stays on the court long enough, he should be able to hover around this line with no problems.
