Karl-Anthony Towns
Opens up about injury
Towns acknowledged after Wednesday's win over the Cavaliers that he's dealing with a quadriceps injury, but that he played through it because "he didn't want to disappoint the fans," according to Vincent Goodwill of ESPN.com. "I've been banged up, and I really haven't gotten a chance to practice or play in the last two preseason games," Towns said. "I didn't want to disappoint the fans. It's not something that's easy to deal with, [but] we made it happen tonight."
