Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are set

Quarterbacks

1.Josh Allen BUF at PIT
2.Jalen Hurts PHI vs. CHI
3.*Dak Prescott DAL vs. KC
Note: Given the quality of the competition, Dak's performance in the comeback win over the Eagles might have been his best effort of the season.
4.Patrick Mahomes KC at DAL
5.Drake Maye NE vs. NYG
6.*Matthew Stafford LA at CAR
Note: Stafford kept rolling against the Bucs, completing his first 13 passes. He's now the betting favorite for the MVP award.
7.*Lamar Jackson BAL vs. CIN
Note: Jackson (toe) missed Monday's walkthrough but fully practiced Tuesday. When watching the BAL-NYJ game from last week, it appeared that he either did not want to run or had significant limitations on when to run from the team. I wonder if that changes Thursday night against the Bengals?
8.*Jacoby Brissett ARZ at TB
Note: We'll get another week of Brissett chucking it around, this time on the road against the Bucs. It looks like he still won't have Marvin Harrison Jr.
9.Justin Herbert LAC vs. LV
10.*Joe Burrow CIN at BAL
Note: Burrow (toe) was a full participant in Monday's practice and is expected to return to action Thursday night in Baltimore. Both Burrow and Flacco fully practiced Tuesday.
11.Bo Nix DEN at WAS
12.Sam Darnold SEA vs. MIN
13.*Daniel Jones IND vs. HOU
Note: I still have my concerns about Jones facing teams with a good pass rush - of which Houston certainly qualifies.
14.Jared Goff DET vs. GB
15.*Caleb Williams CHI at PHI
Note: The sack-fumble-touchdown against the Steelers reeked of last season's performances, but I love how Williams bounced back afterwards to beat the Steelers.
16.Jordan Love GB at DET
17.Tua Tagovailoa MIA vs. NO
18.*Trevor Lawrence JAC at TEN
Note: Lawrence threw three interceptions and had a fumble-six, but also threw three touchdowns in the overtime win over Arizona.
19.*Jameis Winston NYG at NE
Note: Winston was fantastic for a long stretch of the Giants' loss to the Lions, but teammate Jaxson Dart will get an extra day this week to clear the concussion protocol for the Monday night game against the Pats.
20.*Geno Smith LV at LAC
Note: Smith was sacked 10 times in the loss to the Browns. Afterwards, his offensive coordinator, Chip Kelly, was fired.
21.*Brock Purdy SF at CLE
Note: Purdy had an ugly game against the Panthers, throwing three first-half interceptions while being limited to 193 yards overall. This week he gets the Browns and a nasty weather forecast.
22.*Marcus Mariota WAS vs. DEN
Note: It looks as if Mariota will get another start this week against the Broncos.
23.*Bryce Young CAR vs. LAR
Note: Young reverted back to form, unfortunately, in the loss to the Niners. His Week 11 outburst against the Falcons looks like a turbo outlier.
24.*Teddy Bridgewater TB vs. ARI
Note: Bridgewater looked like a player that hadn't seen meaningful action since 2022 when he went in for Mayfield on Sunday night.
25.*Davis Mills HOU at IND
Note: Mills has been at the helm of three wins while C.J. Stroud (concussion) has been out, but he's not necessarily the reason why the Texans have been winning. C.J. Stroud could return this week.
26.*Cam Ward TEN vs. JAX
Note: I was encouraged a little bit by Ward's outing against the Seahawks. Notably, I liked how he scrambled more frequently, and that there were some designed runs for him.
27.Tyrod Taylor NYJ vs. ATL
28.Mason Rudolph PIT vs. BUF
29.Tyler Shough NO at MIA
30.Kirk Cousins ATL at NYJ
31.*Max Brosmer MIN at SEA
Note: Brosmer will take first-team reps this week with J.J. McCarthy in the concussion protocol. He may make his first start, albeit on the road against the Seahawks.
32.*Shedeur Sanders CLE vs. SF
Note: Sanders will get a second start this week against the Niners, with Dillon Gabriel (concussion) serving as the backup.
33.*Baker Mayfield TB vs. ARI
Note: Mayfield suffered a sprained AC joint in his left (non-throwing) shoulder. It's possible that Mayfield might return this week, though hardly a sure thing.
34.*Joe Flacco CIN at BAL
Note: Flacco (shoulder, finger) was listed as limited at Monday's estimated practice. He's expected to cede the starting job back to Joe Burrow this week. Both quarterbacks fully practiced Tuesday.
35.*Aaron Rodgers PIT vs. BUF
Note: Rodgers (wrist) will be limited in practice to begin the week. The Steelers have 'great optimism' that he'll be able to play against the Bills.
36.*Jaxson Dart NYG at NE
37.*C.J. Stroud HOU at IND
Note: Stroud remains in the concussion protocol, but the Texans are optimistic that he might return this week against the Colts.
38.*J.J. McCarthy MIN at SEA
Note: The Vikings placed J.J. McCarthy in the concussion protocol on Monday after experiencing symptoms after the game.
39.*Jayden Daniels WAS vs. DEN
Note: Daniels (elbow) will resume practicing this week but isn't expected to return to action on Sunday night.

3.Christian McCaffrey SF at CLE

7.*Saquon Barkley PHI vs. CHI
Note: Barkley (groin) was limited at Tuesday's walk-through practice.
8.Derrick Henry BAL vs. CIN
9.*Jaylen Warren PIT vs. BUF
Note: Warren (ankle) had a season-high 18 carries in the loss to the Bears.
10.*Chase Brown CIN at BAL
Note: Brown surprisingly ran for 107 yards against the Pats, and has at least 100 yards from scrimmage in his last five games.
11.*TreVeyon Henderson NE vs. NYG
Note: Henderson led the Pats in carries again, but annoyingly was shut out of goal line carries.
12.*Rico Dowdle CAR vs. LAR
Note: Dowdle had just 10 touches (six carries) in the loss to the Niners and was upset afterwards. Is this a potential squeaky wheel situation?
13.Travis Etienne JAC at TEN
14.Breece Hall NYJ vs. ATL
15.Kyren Williams LA at CAR
16.Javonte Williams DAL vs. KC
17.RJ Harvey DEN at WAS
18.*Kenneth Walker SEA vs. MIN
Note: Walker (glute) still led the Seahawks with 11 carries for 71 yards and added three catches. He should be fine this week against the Vikings.
19.Woody Marks HOU at IND
20.Emanuel Wilson GB at DET
21.*D'Andre Swift CHI at PHI
Note: Swift lost a fumble against the Steelers and was outproduced by teammate Kyle Monangai.
22.*Bucky Irving TB vs. ARI
Note: Irving (shoulder) will practice all week and will be cleared to play if he avoids any setbacks.
23.*Quinshon Judkins CLE vs. SF
Note: Judkins twice got checked out for potential head injuries in the fourth quarter against the Raiders.
24.Aaron Jones MIN at SEA
25.Kyle Monangai CHI at PHI
26.*Isiah Pacheco KC at DAL
Note: Pacheco (knee) will return Thursday after missing the last four games.
27.*Devin Neal NO at MIA
Note: Neal is next up behind Alvin Kamara (knee), but the Saints haven't used him frequently in the running game, instead seeing fit to give the ball more to Taysom Hill.
28.*Ashton Jeanty LV at LAC
Note: Jeanty suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter of Week 12's loss to the Browns.
29.Tyrone Tracy NYG at NE
30.Kenneth Gainwell PIT vs. BUF
31.Zach Charbonnet SEA vs. MIN
32.Chris Rodriguez WAS vs. DEN
33.*Kareem Hunt KC at DAL
Note: Teammate Isiah Pacheco (knee) has been cleared to return this week, reducing both Hunt and Pacheco to a timeshare.
34.*Rhamondre Stevenson NE vs. NYG
Note: Stevenson had just six carries for five yards and was twice stuffed at the goal line by the Bengals ... who are the Bengals.
35.Sean Tucker TB vs. ARI
36.Ollie Gordon MIA vs. NO
37.*David Montgomery DET vs. GB
Note: Montgomery's snap share has continued to decline while Jahmyr Gibbs has these monster games.
38.Tony Pollard TEN vs. JAX
39.Devin Singletary NYG at NE
40.Jordan Mason MIN at SEA
41.Tyler Allgeier ATL at NYJ
42.*Dylan Sampson CLE vs. SF

43.Rachaad White TB vs. ARI
44.Michael Carter ARZ at TB
45.Brian Robinson SF at CLE
46.Jacory Croskey-Merritt WAS vs. DEN
47.*Bhayshul Tuten JAC at TEN
Note: Tuten (ankle) played a lesser role in the win over the Cardinals, perhaps due to his ankle injury.

Note: Knight appeared to suffer a lower leg injury in the loss to the Jaguars.
49.Tyjae Spears TEN vs. JAX
50.Chuba Hubbard CAR vs. LAR
51.Blake Corum LA at CAR
52.Nick Chubb HOU at IND
53.Keaton Mitchell BAL vs. CIN
54.Jaleel McLaughlin DEN at WAS
55.*Raheem Mostert LV at LAC
Note: Mostert caught all three of his targets in the loss to the Browns. He's likely next in line if Ashton Jeanty (ankle) can't go against the Chargers.
56.*Samaje Perine CIN at BAL
Note: Perine (ankle) fully participated in Tuesday's practice. He's likely to reclaim the Bengals' backup duties this week, with Tahj Brooks (concussion) already ruled out.
57.Chris Brooks GB at DET
58.Jeremy McNichols WAS vs. DEN
59.Ty Johnson BUF at PIT
60.Isaiah Davis NYJ vs. ATL
61.Ray Davis BUF at PIT
62.Brashard Smith KC at DAL
63.Terrell Jennings NE vs. NYG
64.*Kimani Vidal LAC vs. LV
Note: Vidal left with a thigh injury in the Week 11 loss to the Jags - let's see what his practice activity is before ranking him. He'd go roughly between 20-25 if fully healthy.
65.*Josh Jacobs GB at DET
Note: Jacobs (knee) was limited in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
66.*Alvin Kamara NO at MIA
Note: Kamara suffered a sprained MCL in the loss to the Falcons.

Note: Hill (neck) sat out Tuesday's practice.
68.*Emari Demercado ARZ at TB
69.*Trey Benson ARZ at TB

Note: Hampton (ankle) will have his 21-day practice window opened this week.

2.*Rashee Rice KC at DAL
Note: Rice (hamstring) fully practiced Tuesday.

6.*George Pickens DAL vs. KC
Note: Pickens (knee/calf) sat out Monday's walkthrough and was limited Tuesday.

Note: Drops remain a problem - he had three plays that could have characterized as drops against the Eagles, including one in the end zone.
9.Tetairoa McMillan CAR vs. LAR
