Best WNBA Bets Today: Tuesday, September 16

Indiana Fever under 77.5 (-120) versus Atlanta Dream

DraftKings Sportsbook, 11:30 a.m. CT

Kirien Sprecher: The Fever scored only 68 points in their Game 1 loss, and their top scorer, Kelsey Mitchell, popped off for a game-high 27. Indiana was a strong offensive team, even without Caitlin Clark, during the regular season, but the postseason is a different animal, and Sunday's matchup was extremely physical. I expect that to continue Tuesday, which will make easy buckets difficult to come by. After making only two three-pointers in Atlanta, the Fever will probably shoot better from deep at home, but I also don't expect them to get nearly 30 free-throw attempts again. Without Clark, there's just not enough firepower to compete with Atlanta's elite defense, which has allowed a league-low 76.6 points per game to opposing teams this season. I also like under 158.5 (-112).

Naz Hillmon Over 16.5 Points + Rebounds

FanDuel Sportsbook, 11:15 a.m. CT

Steve Bulanda: When Brittney Griner was sidelined in early August, Hillmon got her shot to enter the starting lineup and never looked back. She's averaging 9.9 points and 8.2 rebounds in 18 games as a starter. She has topped 16.5 Points + Rebounds in 7 of the past 9 games, including Game 1 of this series, while the Atlanta coaching staff has decided to limit Griner to about 14 minutes per game. Hillmon trails only Rhyne Howard in minutes per game over the past 10 games, and she should continue to take advantage of the extra playing time.

If you want to take a swing at a bigger payout, consider Hillmon to record a double-double (+550). She fell just one rebound short in Game 1.

Las Vegas Aces -4.5 (-110) at Seattle Storm

DraftKings Sportsbook, 11:20 a.m. CT

Kirien Sprecher: Seattle was blown out in Las Vegas during Game 1, which shouldn't have been that surprising. The Aces, who struggled in the first half of the regular season, have been one of the best teams in the league since the All-Star break and show no signs of slowing down behind another MVP-level campaign from A'ja Wilson, who may be playing the best ball of her decorated career. On the other hand, the Storm hit a wall at the midway mark and snuck into the playoffs after a strong start to their campaign. I was never sold on Seattle's roster, so maybe this is just confirming priors, but I don't see why the Aces shouldn't be double-digit favorites Tuesday night. The Storm are the only team to make the postseason that had a losing record at home during the regular season.
